I was driving north on Interstate 295 today, when a Dodge pickup truck in front of me lost it's front right wheel. The thing just came right off and was bouncing all round the highway. The truck, down on it's axel, was able to get off to the shoulder, but the wheel hit several cars before finally coming to a stop. Luckily, no body was hurt. It was a pretty scary sight!
i once was driving down the main road on 5th ave in anchorage and a guy in a p/up truck had a matress in his bed. it blew off cause he didn't have it tied down (moron) and i had to swirve so it didn't hit me! now try explaining that to your insurance agent! LOL

LOLIn PA, if you would have damaged your car or caused an accident because you swerved like that to avoid the other idiot's mistake, it would have been YOUR fault because you are magically supposed to be in control of your vehicle "at all times". If you would have driven over a landmine that was buried in the concrete of the freeway, they'd try to blame you for causing it to explode I think. Someone with a brain really needs to rewrite some of these laws.

really? wow. when i first got my tundra back in 01, i had it for like 3 mos. was driving out to the valley and was passing by the high school. it had snowed the night before so the roads were slick. some dumb hs kid was in the ditch on the side of the road, he didn't see me and cut me off, i had to swirve to miss him but my rear end fish tailed and i nailed the back end against the safety railing! i was so pissed. so i stopped at the next exit to make sure everythign was ok. the kid got out of his car, apologized for not seeing me, admitted it was his fault. i got his insurance info but didn't call the cops because they said on the radio not to call unless there were injuries. so i called his insurance co and they argued w/ me that it was he said she said. and because he was a minor, they had to get permission from his parents and his dad wouldn't allow it. said that i just decided to swirve across 2 lanes of the hwy and smack my brand spanking new $30K truck into the safety railing! anyways, my insurance deemed it his fault so it didn't count against me but i still had to pay my $500 deductable. lesson learned: ALWAYS call the cops! cause it was his fault, he admitted it, and he knew it! gotta love parents who teach their kids honesty.
I learned that lesson, too. It already bailed my a$$ out once when this lady tried claiming damage to her car that didn't exist. Good thing I got the police report.
