The Stanley Cup went missing for a while recently thanks to Air Canada. Given the value that the Cup is insured for and the fact that practically every Canadian knows what it is, this is unbelievable! There's a short write-up about it here: http://msn.foxsports.com/story/2687132

Air Canada should be boycotted. They should be boycotted for more than just losing the Stanley cup. Unfortunately in Canada its the only "national" airline, unless you fly WestJet but WestJet doesn't have as many flights to as many spots.

well from everyone's experience w/ them that i know of, they've been less than good. poor service, poor flights, all kinds of probs, etc. no wonder they are about to go under! even united, who's in chapter 11 (i believe) has good service.
Yep, I began my boycott of AC right after my experience with them, even though I received a full refund and $100 (CAD ) voucher.I guess I'll use them if I have to fly to Canada, but I just don't see a reason to do so...yet.

The Canadians in charge of getting the Cup on board correctly probably just couldn't part with it!I like how their excuse was that they had to leave it behind because the plane was carrying too much weight. They say in the article that it weighs 35 lbs! For God's sakes, throw somebody's suitcase on another flight and make sure that the Cup makes it safely. What really boggles my mind is the fact that they actually LOST it. How the hell do you just LOSE it? IT'S THE STANLEY CUP!!! My God, I hope that nobody ever loses sight of their child while flying AC. If they can't properly care for the Stanley Cup, then forget it, the kid's a goner for sure!
