pre-painted door moldings from dealer -- anyone have any experiece with?

Post by E-Man »

I need to replace one of the door moldings on my vibe. I can get a pre-painted (salsa color) one directly from the GM dealer -- so I would not have to take the molding to a body shop to have painted. Question is -- if anyone has experience with this I would like to know how closely the paint matched your existing paint?ThanksEd

If your door has nevr been painted, then it should match perfectly seeing as they use the same paint to paint the molding as they did your car.

i would think if it's coming painted from the factory, it should match almost identically.

every time the factory gets a new paint batch of a color it will look a slight bit different.
