I love Sullivan Pontiac in Illinois where I bought my car. My throw out bearing was making noise at 31,000 mi. I drive 3/4 highway so it wasn't from overuse or holding it in at lights. Stuff happens. When they dropped the tranny they also were nice enough to install a new clutch and flywheel. The original set was working fine, had never slipped and would have easily lasted beyond the warranty period. It was getting a bit thin and since it was apart they just gave me new ones. If I didnt have the TOB problem, I would never have gotten this within the warranty period. Get this. The mechanic said that the new clutch is thicker than the original. I don't know if this is fact or speculation but may confirm that someone is aware of the clutch issues with the GT. Anyway, I can't wait for the clutch to run in a bit as it's kinda soft and grabby at the moment. Looks like I'll get almost normal clutch life before I have to pay for one. Oh yah, They messed up the first TOB repair and had to do it over. 2 trips to the dealer 6 days total down time and they gave me a free courtesy car both times. They're the largest dealer in the area, my original salesman was outstanding and they do great service. Just thought i would share a great experience.
