Ok, I took my in cabin filter out and it was a mess. Lots of cat and dog hair. Seeds and some paper. Started thinking maybe I got a mouse, as I don't know how the dog hair and paper got in there. Somebody told me to stick a dryer sheat above the filter and that will keep the mice away. I don't think that would cause any air flow problems, but thought I'd get a couple opinions online first.
My uncle had a Hyundai which was down on power and running rough after several months in storage. When the mechanic opened the air cleaner air box, it was full of dried grass, seeds etc. A mouse had completely filled it blocking the airflow to the engine. I doubt if a dryer sheet will do much good and will probably end up restricting the air flow eventually. Your car would smell really good though. I have a Suzuki PE250 which also had a mouse nest in it one spring.
