I finally got around to replacing my rear bumper fascia, having messed up the original one pretty badly by backing the Vibe into the side of the garage. (OUCH!)I managed to get the bumper protector off of the old bumper without damaging it, but I need some advice on getting the adhesive tape off so that I can put new tape on and install it to the new bumper. Is there a solvent that will work on the tape without damaging the plastic of the protector? Also, can someone suggest where to get new tape? Thanks!

I believe Goo-Gone will remove it without damaging the plastic. Any auto parts store sells 3M double sided tape. I would think plain old RTV would also work.
