I've now had my Vibe for about 3 mos. and 4500 miles. Just wanted to share some random thoughts.Features that I am glad the Vibe has:1. Cabin filter2. Outside temp gauge3. Cushy yet supportive seats4. Storage cubbies everywhere (the most of any car I've owned!) Love the two tier center console w/ hidden power point.5. Well lit interior, especially the rear seat and cargo area. (Makes getting into the kid's car seats at night so much easier!)Things I don't like:1. DRL and auto headlights, they should both be defeatable!2. Power window lock-out button kills the driver control when I really only want to disable the rear switches due to kids.3. Fabric on front door panels are already getting dirty from elbows, a padded vinyl would be prefered.Things I would like to have:1. Folding outside mirrors (body color or black, don't care)2. Rear disc brakes (easier maintenance and looks cooler)Features I just don't use:1. Rear hatch glass, I just open the hatch. But I do see that it could be practical for others. At least the Vibe isn't so tall that this feature cannot be used as is the case with many SUV's.Overall, I am very pleased and looking forward to many miles with my Vibe. Averaging about 30mpg!!!

I got 8000km on my Vibe now thanks to a very busy past few months of a lot of driving around MI and Ontario hah. Glad your liking your Vibe still.I have never used that rear opening glass either.

LOL. well, due to summer outside activities and visitors, i think i've put on about 2-3K miles since memorial day. drove 150 miles yesterday for work! still like the vibe, don't like the cracked windsheild however. oh well, i'll deal with it. glad you still enjoy your car!
Quote »2. Power window lock-out button kills the driver control when I really only want to disable the rear switches due to kids.Yeah, I've owned "true" GM cars previously, and they all have allowed me to control all of the windows from the driver's side if the lock was enabled. Can't say that I like how it kills all of 'em when you activate the lock. No kids here, so it isn't that big of an issue for me, but I can definitely see how it would be for some.Agreed with the folding mirrors, too. I keep seeing Grand Am's with the mirror broken, hanging down the door and think "gee, that could happen to me..." Definitely folding, or some sort of hinge at the least would be a good thing.I have to say I don't find the hatch glass all that useful as well. It does get opened, but that's generally after the car wash when I'll dry off the area under the glass; and to clean the rear window. That's it. I keep the cargo cover on all the time, so that makes it even more useless. Glad to see you're liking the car, there is a lot to like with these things. 1.5 years/31,000 miles and I still enjoy mine very much so...

Love the two tier center console w/ hidden power point. The 2005's don;t have the top storage... do you think it would just be a matter of ordering the 2004 piece and attaching it to the 2005 console? Would it cost an arm and a leg... because, I've already given the electric comapny an arm and my second born...
