Probably the clutch.. is it new? I've smelt my clutch burn on revving without actually going..

my first guess was the clutch. but it could be the oil too (it was pretty black when i checked it). hopefully it just needs new oil; that's a lot cheaper than a clutch! also guys....... how would you describe the smell of burnt oil, coolant, clutch, etc? i tried to think of a way to describe it but couldn't.

it sounds like the same problem I had with my 2003 VibeGT and the dealership had to replace the clutch, as they said it wasnn't disengaged. The replacement took 12 hours, thank goodness it was under warranty, although it still smells a little when it revs high
