i'm down!i can't make this toronto meet, and i can't make the montreal meet, so this would be perfect to meet up wtih the northern crew!!!!besides, i have a week's paid vacation to use before dec 31, and i've already missed the deadline for august...come on guys, let's do this!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Sounds good Hope, if we can get a native to coordinate location, etc.! I'd like another chance to see at least some of the crowd from the MI meet I missed.(Mike sent me an IM on this, but I'm not sure if my reply went out, as there used to be a 'blink' of the text box when I hit 'send', but now I don't see this.)
trdvibe, if you're having a hard time rounding up some members, I could always ask your Matrix cousins to join in. They're always up for a meet.I live in Toronto so I could point out a few good meeting spots. Maybe arrange a locale not too far from where you're staying so you won't get lost.
Hey Mista! You guys organize such great meets. I say we let you handle this mini meet and please invite opur Matrix cousins to join us. Had fun the last time I was there

sounds like an opportunity to introduce myself! I'm not sure i can make the oshawa meet either....i was borned, raised, grew up in, etc. in Toronto.. (i was a bike courier for a few years in the city too!)...let me know what sort of stuff you're all interested in and I'll do my best!
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
Yes, someone please make sure this gets organized, and get me dates I need to ask off for september by mid July.More importantly, I'd like to see this one actualyl happen, as Oshawa seems to have fallen apart.

Picking out a spot is no problem. Just gotta get more details from trdvibe as to where he'll be staying.Come to think of it, long weekend's are always tough to get some people out to meets cuz they're doing other things but hopefully the turnout will still be alright nonetheless. I'm sure some of the Matrix dudes will be interested in going.
thanks, mista. that would be great to get the invite to our matrix bros. i think that saturday would be the best for anyone who has to drive far to the meet. gives them plenty of time on sunday to get back or sat after the meet. i have limited time so it'll most likely be just a one day event for me. i have a feeling i'll be busy with other "things" while i'm there. and this time, i'll bring my passport! LOL
If anyone wants the morning they gotta be kidding lol. afternoon evening sounds good to me and maybe we can go for a few (but not to many) drinks afterwards.

i'll be staying in woodstock w/ mav. and possibly carrie might come and she would prob be staying in london but maybe toronto. not sure on that. we're trying to get another good group of peeps to come. ragingfish said he will do his best to make it from jersey as well. i think we can get a good group together for this if we can make it all happen.
As of now I'm in for sure. I have no hotel arrangements yet, I'd assume I'd be staying in Toronto, but depending on the meet location, I might stay closer to that...Keep me posted!

Well since you guys will be coming from Woodstock, then it'd probably be best to set this up in the westend of Toronto in Mississauga. We're having a meet there tomorrow night (Wed.) and it'll be our first time at this location so we might as well just use this spot too.
Would be cool if you guys could make it.Since I don't know Toronto THAT well, maybe we'll let the guys that live there pick out a place. Mike I'm sure you won't have any problem finding a hotel... my town of 35,000 ppl has like 4-5 hah.

we canadians are so used to being raped by the government we don't even notice anymore... what I find funny is that our government takes a lot of money from us but our army is underfunded... where is it going?

i wouldn't say everybody likes us...ask the portuguese/spanish off the eastern shore...the soft-wood people in the US, and with latest case...we've may be added to the Iranian's list too!!

ha ha ha! they were reading the hate list for al quaida and canada is #5! so the guys on the radio were like, why do they hate canada??? HOW can they hate canada??? they don't even have an army! (removed)!no, i'm sure it's because of our trade agreements and the fact you're our neighbor.
Tell me about it! I live in Peterborough, the heart of the flood zone! Water 5 ft. deep on the main downtown street, collapsed roof on a shopping mall and a Senior's home, over a hundred people rescued from stalled cars, thousands of basements flooded, even a beaver waddling down the main drag! Of course, today my digital chose to take a hissy fit, so no pix.

I hear a lot have been doing that... been watching the news. hope the water goes down soon. Our daughter's in-laws' a few blocks away did, to a depth of ~18" in their basement, but the closest we came was a slight rise of the water in the basement shower drain; a narrow escape! Streets are now clear and the further 50 mm (2") of rain forecast fortunately has not occurred (so far...) but the damage is in the millions (a ton of $$ for a city of 70,000) and much of it not covered by insurance.
