Does anyone know if the Interior Fabric on the Vibe is "Scotch Guarded" or treated in some other way from the Factory? I looked in the owners manual and nothing was mentioned. The Dealer never offered or mentioned anything on this either. I'll probably call them. Had a spill in mine (niece in the back seat with caramel). I hit it with a towel dipped in cold water and, thankfully, it did the job. What other experiences with stain removal are out there?

Go buy a can or two of Scotchguard and do it yourself. It certainly doesn't hurt as it is unnoticeable when done. I did mine myself and found no colour change on the fabric (I have the darker charcoal type) after spraying. $8.00, 15 minutes, a quick polish to remove overspray... done!

Not sure. I did not take the chance...I bought 2 spraycans of "3M Scotchguard" at Wall Mart and did the car twice (Dual Coat), myself! As soon as I took possesion of the car.
Mine came with a dealer applied protectant. It was part of some detailing package that the dealer uses on all its new cars called "Auto Butler". It was an interior and exterior protectant system. I didn't ask for it and there was no additional charge for it, I think they just do it automatically. The Toyota dealer where my sister bought her '03 Corolla S does the same thing but it has a different name.BTW---If you Scotchguard it yourself, I suggest opening all 4 of the doors when you do it. It might cut down on the amount of overspray you have to wipe off. For me, the material seems pretty durable and looks like it will be pretty stain resistant. Besides, I have yet to have a stain in any of my cars that I couldn't get out with some Blue Coral Dri-Clean. The sooner you clean up a stain, the greater your chances of success.

That is about all I expected the dealer applied protectant would be. Thanks for the info.
