2005 at the dealership

Post by Mavrik »

Well a dark grew 2005 Pontiac Vibe automatic rolled off the truck today and I took a look around it. Noticed the obvious difference in the front end and it actually doesn't look to bad. I don't love it but I don't hate it now either. Its a look that could grow on you.Second difference I noticed and will see about doing to my Vibe is the mirrors are now painted to match the monotone body. I wanted to do that with my Vibe a while ago, but instead of the hassle of getting them painted I'll see if I can just now buy them that way. Nothing else really stood out to much about this Vibe otherwise. It was loaded with the power package, pretty plain jane otherwise.I'll get some pics tomorrow and show them on here for you all to see.I did note that the roof racks are non-existant other then with the rails there for them. I know that had been mentioned by all the other 05 threads here but IMO its a dumb idea. If your not going to have the bars, why have the rails at all? Make it like the Matrix without the roof rack instead of half of it.

I was under the impression the cross rails can be purchased as an accessory...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Instead they are keeping it the same price and charging the customers addition for the ones who want them. This way GM is making money. Yeah, we'll lower the cost of the car but will take out a lot of regular items on the older models we'll make you pay for this time around... Like using the oldest trick in the book, no one buys something for $4.00 but if you list it at $3.99 its sold! but is it any cheaper? Nope. This Vibe at the dealership is going for $23,000 canadian and doesn't seem to be fully loaded. I didn't even see any Onstar.

Probably, but if they wanted our money that badly they would actually make available things that we wanted. IE: body kit and supercharger instead of charging extra for the little things. I'm gonna see if I can get my Vibe next to this new one tomorrow for some pics, depends on where they park it when they are done the PDI.
