Just went by Wheaton here to look at the 2004 vibes and they had a lone white 2005, w/ no sub or basically any features. thought the new front end isn't all that dramatic like i thought it was gonna be from all the pics i've seen. They had both old and new side to side, my old lady didn't notice until i showed her the difference.
I wonder if Capital in Regina has any new stock in? I should stop in there, and see if some snot nosed sales kid will tell me nothing is changed on the 2005's ... they told me the 2004's were the same as the 03's."They are," I said, "except for the new dash gauges and different cladding on the side. I already own a 2003, and I know what's new." Poor kid. ha ha ha ha haIs Wheaton still advertising any 2003's for sale? I saw that Capital had 1 or 2 in the paper.

I was at a dealer today checking out the 05, the sales guy came over, we started talking...told him I'd love to get in a GT...I said I wouldn't drive anything but an 03 GT though...he said "lemme check the computer. Do you want the 6 speed or an auto?" I looked at him and laughed. I thanked him for his time, turned, walked to my car, and left. I refuse to even CONSIDER buying a car from a dealer who knows nothing about what they sell.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
It's nice to know that I wasn;t the only one to run into a salesman that was clueless. Hell, I had to show him what a Vibe looked like; in the end, I was the one educating him on the features and whatnots (altho, still, why can't you get XM and 6 CD changer together )hjwii
as a fellow sales person, when you are new you should be studying and learning your products you sell. testing them and seeing what they are and what they do. if i went around in my job w/o a clue, i'd have so many upset customers and i wouldn't sell many clients! not knowing anything at all about ANYTHING you sell is not excuseable. if that's the case, you should not be on the sales floor!
Quote, originally posted by silverawd26 »Well, we all need to start somewhere now don't we?I agree. You can't expect every sales guy to know exactly what every car has. For example you can buy the Sunfire GT as an automatic. The Grand Am and Grand Prix GT and GTP are automatic. GT does not mean 6 speed. Course I see the insider view having been in service for many years and as sales in other stores. People cut you no slack for working your (removed) off trying to help them. Its stupid...Just cause you know more about the Vibe then he does means nothing really, I mean you come here lol wealth of knowledge here.

I went to wheaton a few years ago and ws lookin at the Sunfire, and talked to this guy named Don Semchuk, more like " I don't know ".....turned me off from shopping there......I did take a test drive in a 2004 last summer at Capital in regina(my home town) and they made me a good offer to take one off their hands, but of course $$$ was a little out of my league at that time.
