You know what the weird thing is? The fact that if you go to the Research section and you look up the Vibe for 05, it says something different. Not to go against anyone on the site, but this what I saw. Here's the link for everyone.http://research.cars.com/go/cr...=5850Inder

It wasn't a question of the AWD handling the extra horsepower. As I understand it, the reduced power on the AWDs is because of the convoluted exhaust system and different catalytic converter(s?) required to fit the AWD. The base runs the exhaust down the center, where the AWD puts the driveshaft to the rear.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
The 2005 Matrix 4WD still states 123 HP on their website. I would assume it would hold true for the 2005 Vibe AWD once Pontiac finally updates their website.http://www.toyota.com/vehicles....html
