Sound problems with Moon and Tunes

Has anyone else had or have a problem with the left/right sound volume coming from the speakers? It seems to me that my right channel is almost 50%, but definetely 25-40% louder than my left channel.Yes, I have played with the balance and to get the stereo to sound centered and not lopsided and leaning towards the right, I have to move my balance 2 clicks towards the left.Has anyone experienced else this? Also, I have not looked at the amp under the left front seat yet. Does anyone know if a balance type setting is located on the amp? Sorry if the last is a stupid question, but I am somewhat limited in my car audio knowledge.Thanks everyone...

Maybe a woofer blew? I'd take it to the dealership to have them check it out -- warranty work of course

No, there are no adjustments on the amp.I've had similar situations in all my cars, including this one. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the location of your ear in relation to the speakers. On the right side, the speakers are far away, and can easily project sound toward your ear. But on the left side, you're almost directly above the speaker, and it's aimed toward the floor of the car. The sound goes straight out, past your legs, and doesn't easily come up to your ear.I find the opposite if I sit in the passenger seat, where the left sounds too loud and the right sounds muffled.

I sat in passenger seat and driver seat to test it. Lower on left. I then put my head about a foot away from speaker on right and then on the left. Still lower volume on left. When I turn the balance about two clicks from the center to the left, all of a sudden you will hear a balance in the sound and the stereo sounds as it should. I have no problem keeping it like that (2 clicks to the left), and the sound is great, but when it comes to the car, I am a perfectionist and it is eating away at me that it is not "perfect".

I'd say take it to the dealer, then. It could be that the balance knob is off calibration. Not much else could be causing that particular problem..

I see your post on this was a long while ago so hopefully someone will still read this that would be able to give pertinent info. I am having the same problem! I have a very trained ear and it is for sure out of balance! I am not content with simply moving the balance a bit to the left as it reduces the overall sound quality of the system. Anyone else with this problem? The dealer I brought it to sounded like they didn;t have a clue what to do. At first they told me it was fine. Then at least they had the brains to do a voltage test and said the signal on the left side was lower than the right. Their solution was to change the radio out as they said the amp was located in the radio. I am now aware that is not the case. The amp is actually under the passanger seat. So, I will be asking them to change the amp out first! Any other input on resolving this problem?Thanks!Antonio
