a guy backed his GMC 2500 extended cab truck into his parking spot and put his ball hitch right into the point of my nose. when i got back to my car, his ball was still pressed into my bumper. it left a nice divot and a couple of scratches on 2 pieces of my front fascia.his insurance is going to cover everything.what are the chances when i take it into the body shop that they can get me the sports package front end to replace my normal front end?is there a price difference between the two? anybody know?

Ah man, that'll cost him a lot! It cost $800 for only my lower bumper piece to be replaced! You're looking at replacing both. About the sport package, those are actually just pieces that attach to the lower part of the original bumper. So, unless you want to buy the kit which I think runs around $1000-1500, you will just have the stock bumper.

that's a hassle, but at least you found who did it and they owned up to it. Would have been easy for him to just park somewhere else and you would have never known how it happened.

Well he kinda had to owe up to it since his truck was parked into your front bumper lol.My room mate did that to my old sunfire but backed into the back of my car. I think people with poor depth judgement should not be driving such large vehicles.

you can't get the "front bumper" from the sport package. it's a lower fascia only, and sticks on the bottom of the lower bumper. my quote to fix my lower bumper was $1097! but that's also including the 2 inner fender linings that also broke. sounds like he forgot he had his hitch on and just backed into his parking spot like he normally would w/o it. atleast his insurance is covering the repairs. if i were you though, i'd get the estimate done at the dealership... then take the money and run! LOL the damage is very very minimal it looks like.

that is tempting. i could buy my wheels & tires with that money!or put it toward a supercharger.
