Time for a rant

Post by DjDoubleLP »

Alright.......I know that I am probably going to receive some flak about this one........but I can't just sit here anymore.I know that I have not been on this forum for a long time like some of the other members.......but I have been part of another Matrix forum for over a year.......and the major difference that I have noticed is that over here it seems like some people here just get pissy when things dont go there way. Now.......I am not pointing fingers at anyone.......but it can range from asking for slow songs about (removed) to telling everyone that your marriage sucks and that you don't want to go on anymore. I do understand that we are entitled to put down whatever we want......but it just seems to me that a lot of people are not "happy" people around here. Always *****ing and complaining in some form or another. Are we not supposed to help people out here with problems?? Not complain and tell them that they are not doing things right because it is not the way that we would do it.Don't get me wrong.......I like GenVibe........great forum.......I just think that some people need to be a little more thoughtful in what they write. Just my 2 cents.

Point taken. But are the conversations that go on here really that much differant than what goes on in the physical face to face interaction we have with people everyday.I think people here are very thoughtful of what they write. My wife is a member of a forum where everyone swears incesantly. It gets old fast. It's just a matter of perspective. If someone asks me a question I answer it. If you stumble along and read my reply as b--chen, so be it.By the by, kudos for posting here as a Matrix owner.

I much prefer these forums where there is no swearing or racist remarks. I just find that there are some people on here who are like little babies when they dont get there way......the whine. And thanks.......I feel like the ugly duckling around here with my Matrix.

I haven't noticed that much complaining, but maybe it is because I don't pay much attention to it. I have been reading forums for years now and people just have different personalities. I will say this. I have read another forum for the Matrix/Vibe and I have noticed that many of the people on that forum spend inordinate amounts of time bashing, insulting and condeming the Vibe as opposed to the Matrix. It has gotten to the point that I rarely read it because it is insulting to me as a vibe owner to be put down (in a way) by people who basically own the same car. The Toyota snobbery is silly if you ask me since they are both the same car under the skin. Sorry, just wanted to get that off my chest. There may be arguments on this forum on occassion but it seems like Genvibe welcomes all Vibe AND Matrix owners as opposed to putting them into 2 different classes.

OK, time for a retort. Because, for not pointing fingers, there was one hell of a big finger being pointed at me. I was just asking for suggestions that met certain criteria, most suggestions didn't meet the criteria, so I was trying to narrow down the options. If you saw that as crying because I didn't get my way you have mistaken my posts. Now I agree that there are some things about this forum that I do not like, however, thare are also a ton of different things that I really like. Everyone has to rant, and I understand where you are coming from but I was trying to get some good suggestions and I thought people were misled, so I tried to clarify. I would much rather have any problems with me taken care of via IM instead of out in the open, if you would like to further discuss any situation or problem, I would only request the common courtesy of a private conversation rather than a public outcry for a group fingerpoint.

Point taken. I was really not trying to point fingers it just came to mind when I was writing the post. So dont take it personally.......this is just a general rant. Sorry if it upset you........but now you see my point with the post.

I didn't take offense, I just thought it was.........nevermind. No offense taken. I am just not one to make waves and I don't like it when people do unless it is extremely warranted. Let's just forget about it. DEAL?

There is some amount of ironic humour in a rant about people complaining. This is not a complaint about this thread or flak for posting it, just that I thought it was kinda funny. We all have lots to grateful for. always look on the bright side of life (1.3 MB)

I don't think its any worse than any other forum. For the most part people here are fairly well behaved and have some good contrubutions. There will be some people who have to put down others, but you will get that in any large forum.

(removed) A Celica GTS might weigh 300-350 lbs less, but not a freaking Matrix!
