I've had a noise in my door (or possibly running boards) for a few weeks now that has been irritating me to HELL!Whenever I stop, start, or take a turn, it sounds like a coin rolling around on something plastic. My initial instincts were a coin in the door pocket. No luck. I pulled off the door panel, maybe a wire harness was flipping around. Couldn't find anything. Pulled off the kickplate and running board. Nothing unusual. Will schedule an appointment this week to get that and other little quirks fixed as I am in the final 2000 mile countdown to expiration of my B2B warranty. Shall let y'all know what the nuisance is...

Hope they find the prob for ya there, Mike. Is it possible that it is a screw that fell down inside the door frame and is rolling around in there? I know you've had your doors apart a few times for various installations, maybe something fell in there?

I hope it's an easy solution, because if I get the dreaded NPF code I'll scream!!!(Note: For those confused, NPF is dealer code on my service records for NO PROBLEM FOUND)

Yeah, I hate that. If you bother to take the time to bring the car in to have it looked at, then there probably really is something wrong. In that case, I feel that they had better darn well find it.

Sometimes they just can't reproduce it.Also, I have an unusually high sensitivity to rattles and other noises. Sometimes I hear very faint noises that these, um..."more matured" folks can't hear!

rf, I've had the same problem since I bought my '03 Vibe used in July of '04. My dealer said they wouldn't take care of it in the warranty since they figured it was a pen cap or something dropped down a vent (whatever). My sound is very aggravating, since it is very sensitive to accel/decel. Did you ever get this sorted out? I'd love to know the answer.
When I got rid of the car last year that issue still had never been resolved. It wasn't in the door though. Now it must be some other poor bloke's problem...

Just started having a similar sound creep up over the past two weeks on my driver's side door. I had body/paint work done recently, so it's possible something wasn't secured well.Mine sounds like light metal (like bare wire) tapping inside the door frame. Thought it was the window, but think that's out. I know that when I press against the upper part of the trim, the sound goes away. I'll be taking it by the shop during lunch to see if they can remedy it. I don't particularly feel like taking the door apart right now. Will report if they find anything.
