Standard Equipment

Post by chillidog »

I recently picked up my Vibe. 1. The car had a Delphi battery in it, not an AC Delco as it should. Are these the same? 2. What is the model name of the standard issue tires on the base model? I hope I got what I was supposed to get.

I don't have readily access to mine or I would look, but I assume Delphi or AC Delco are all acceptable. There could be different brands of batteries they purchase during the year so some could have AC Delco, Delphi, etc...quote:2. What is the model name of the standard issue tires on the base model? On the Base Vibe, you are either going to get Continental or Goodyear tires with the 16" rims.Check out this link for specifics: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=954

Are these the same?I don't know all the details but Delphi is part of GM and makes AC Delco batteries among other electronic equipment. Basically they are one in the same.http://www.ipan.com/clients/Delphi/cpda ... s_main.htm

I'm gonna rip out my Delphi Battery in a few weeks, and buy a DIEHARD GOLD like I always do. I have been meaning to do this earlier but due to previous circumstances. I have been putting it off. When I looked the engine over before buying it. I noticed that those batteries only have 330 cold crank amps. The Diehard has 990 cold crank amps. I'm gonna need that in the winter especially when I have over a 1000-watts of music all though the car. It only costs about $90 or so sightly higher if you drive a Daimler Chrysler car bulit after 1998. Well worth it
