Any comments if I should only put a TRD exhaust or look for a complete cat back? I know Vibrant Performance have one model for the Vibe (think it's the 2010), or maybe going with a "homemade by the corner mechanic guy"?
is it that, the 15759 model?http://www.hottexhaust.com/sea...e=ALLbut the pic is weird, my exhaust is on the left side of my car, and o nthe pic it's on the right... and about the noise? I hate the "Joe Civic's Kid" you can hear coming 3 miles in advance. I want something performant, but not too loud under 3000 rpm. I don't want the cops going after me cause of that. And is it gonna brake my warranty with GM?oh, and if I ask too much question, you can tell me. I will slow down. I'm just excited about all that, it's my first car...For the installation, should I go to a garage, or I can do it myself?
I had the same concerns as you, but rest assured, the Magnaflow is not obnoxious at all, and the only true cat-back out there for the Vibe/Matrix. It has a real nice throaty rumble when you give it some gas at idle. During highway driving 3000-4000 rpm, there was no droning and I could hardly notice the difference over stock. Once I got over 4800 to 5500 rpm, the sound started picking up, but again, real pleasant and not at all ricey. In fact in may be to quiet for some folks, but I’m real happy with it.
Base Shadow monotone 5-spd, Moons & Tunes, Power Package & ABS. Alloy wheels, Progress RSB, Silverstars. TRD supercharger w/ custom tuned Unichip, and magnaflow true cat-back exhaust.
Here this is a Borla clip from my Vibe and it sound very similar to the Magnaflow I think someone posted the sound of a Magnaflow but both Borla and Magnaflow are similar in sound.
