Supposedly the 04 GT has a new emissions pump installed that may hinder CAI installation.Haven't seen under the hood of an 04 GT yet, so I can't help unfortunately.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

ragingfish I did notice on mine that if you look uner the stock airbox towards the front where the stock tube runs for the stock airbox there is a air pump or what looks to be one under there and it looks like it will adhere any installation of a CAI. I am keeping my hopes up for Injen to produce. If anyof you have seen what I am talking about let me know what you think. thanks

I didn't do that because there is a wierd hose or something there where it looks like the CAI goes. I don't want to sink my $$$ into something that complicated. I didn't even know what the hose does until now.

Well I have some pretty cool plans for a cold air intake and I will let you all know when I get it done until then I guess that some of us can hope that Injen will pruduce the one that they so called made. We shall see though.Later

Roadpig I am not sure that is what I am trying to find out. I am thinking yes but before I spend 200 some I need to know that it is going to fit and work correctly on my ride. I know that the diff between the Vibe and the Matrix is that the fog light on the Vibe sometimes adheres getting the filter on correctly. I will post something on here if I find it.Later

A note on the problem I think you are running into::I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but on my jetta, I had this same problem with an air pump being in the way of a CAI.I fabricated my own CAI as their design is simple and raw materials are cheaper than what you can buy from a performance parts place. The VW cai design also requires the resolution of the air pump problem, as there is a secondary air injection pump located under the manifold that takes filtered air from the airbox, and forces it into the catalytic converter upon cold startup. This helps to flash-heat the cat and reduce cold start emissions. The thing sounds like a jet engine - it's a very distinct noise. But anyway, I installed my CAI as I pleased, and then took a look at that hose. I removed the flexible hose that went to the airbox, exposing a hard piece of pipe that it was clamped to on the other end (opposide the airbox). The OD of this just happened to be the ID of a small breather filter that K&N makes. It's about 2" in diameter and fit there with no problems, secured with a hose clamp. The small filter keeps the air pump's air clean, and the CAI performs its duties without any complicated hookup arrangements. Just a thought - if your air pump function is anything like mine, this fix should work.
Hey wylde thanks for the reply and to be honest with you that is what I was thinking about on mine as I don't know all the specifics that go into the CAI design yet. I think that I am going to get a Cosmo intake and modify it as i please. Since shoot it is 108 bucks at the most and I can tinker with it to make it better. I am going to see about making something for the Cold Air Intake system to make things a bit easier for everyone but we will see how I get it all to work. I wil let everyone know when I do though. LaterAnd thanks again
