I have a 2003 AWD Vibe and I'm thinking of installing a Tornado Fuel Saver. However, the Tornado website says inside diameter of air intake hose is 2-3/8 inch, thus requiring a KI-60 Tornado. I measured the ID and came up with 2-3/4 inches, which would require a KI-70. I don't want to buy the item until I'm sure I'm getting the right one. Any help out there??
Those things are a waste of money. Don't buy it, that is my advice. To each his own though.

again, i had one on my tundra and it worked great. but i have no idea how it works on cars.... but only is $50 so if it doesnt work great, atleast you didn't spend tons of money.
I've now read a number of interesting opinions about the product, but no one has yet answered the question as to whether the air intake tube on an AWD Vibe is 2-3/8 (inside diameter) as the Tornado chart says or 2-3/4 as I have measured on my machine. I'd like to hear from some AWD owners as to what their tubes measure (no snickers, please).
The intake of a base or AWD vibe or base or XR matrix should all be the same. The tornado web site http://www.tornado-fuelsaver.tv says to use a 60 for the base and a 65 for the XRS/GT. If you do get one, then please keep careful records of fuel usage, if possible, before and after the install. I don't see how it will help, but who knows, maybe it will. So, if you are going to buy one anyway, you can collect data and then we'll all know if their claims are valid or not. Do they have a money back guarantee? if so, then if you keep good records you have a better chance fo getting the money back if it turns out to be a waste. It would sure be great if it works, so if you go for it, let us know what the effect is.
I bet the mileage will get worse !! since there is more air flow restriction !!
