Hi all...I did a search on this but got tired after looking through the first 100 or so hits but is there anywhere (maybe here) where there is a list of all the torque specs for all the bolts, plugs and other things we change or alter on the Vibe? I decided to buy a nice torque wrench since I'm doing a lot of maintenance myself and thought it would be nice to know specific torque requirements of lugs (Found that through the search 76ft-lb), oil plug, manual tranny plugs (fill and drain) and any other torque specs one might need to know. Thanks in advance!
Sounds like you're ready to step up the the plate and buy the full-blown Pontiac Vibe Service Manual by Helms. It is very detailed, and it will pay for itself after the 1st repair that you do after warranty. Don't balk at the $120 price - you'll never regret it !
The service manual lists a torque spec for probably every single fastener in the car. It would take a long time to copy them out of the manual, and it would also be very difficult to list them in such a way that anyone else could figure out what fastener was being referenced. Someitmes you can find a service manual for significantly less on ebay, that's where I got mine.
Hi and thanks so far for the responses...I probably should have been more specific but I'm not looking for every fastener and bolt torque spec, just the ones used in basic maintenance items like Oil Plug, Spark Plugs, Transmission Fill and Drain Plugs, Wheel Lugs (this is in the manual though), and any bolt or plug that is used in the basic maintanence of the car. A list of 10-15 different specs is all I'm asking for.:::Edit:::I should also say that I'm just looking for specs that people have used before. I don't expect anyone to buy a manual for me to get the numbers. I will continue my search on other forums for this information. I just remember seeing posts like "be sure to torque the plug to..." on several items. I just keep getting 900+ hits when I search for specifics. :::Edit:::Dave
