"Virtual Pets"???

Post by Stang2Vibe »

Anyone out there have a "virtual pet"? I don't mean like a pet rock or something, I mean the new robot pets. Sony has a few out, I just saw something on tv about their new robot dog. I thought it was really cool! I love dogs, but I can't have one right now. I thought that this was a great idea for an alternative, until I saw the pricetag was $1,600 USD. That's crazy!!! Sony calls the robot pet dog the "Aibo". Here's a link: http://www.us.aibo.com/ I know they came out with a pet cat robot a few years ago. I wonder if you bought a pet cat robot and a dog one if they would fight? It would really suck to come home from work and find that your one pet robot "killed" the other one, especially if they cost $1,600 each!!!They said that Aibo can take digital pictures around your house and email them to you while you are at work (they are saying that this is a nice home security feature).

I guess not a bad idea for people who cant have animals. Besides some breeds of dogs cost more than that. Would be interesting to have a robot dog though.

I thought it was a great idea too, until I saw the pricetag! I'll just have to wait and see if the price comes down. Way down. I really miss having a dog!
