Getting seatbelt rattle fixed

Post by huy397 »

I brought my Frosty to the dealer for weather related issues a few weeks ago and funny enough they noticed the rattle! (what are the chances of dealers hearing acknowledging rattles ? )So they ordered some parts and I am getting it fixed tomorrow.I have no idea what they ordered or what they're going to do with it but I will report back tomorrow.

I've got the same rattle I think, but only on my passenger side. I'm too far from my dealer, and too lazy to deal with their bs, so I'll just leave it till I fix it myself.

Mine's on the passenger side only too.Anyway, the dealer replaced the top part of the safety belt ( the height adjustment thingy ) and it's not rattling anymore!!Yay....

Who's your dealer? It's almost worth the 3.5 hour drive to Saskatoon to get decent service!!!

I bought my Frosty from Wheaton GM in Saskatoon but I moved to Nipawin shortly after and I got to know the local dealer pretty well... good thing about living in a small town, I guess. Too bad I am moving again next week...

Hmm... I bought my car from a small town dealer (Carlyle Motor Products), and they seemed to have their heads up their butts. I really haven't had much success with Capital in Regina either.I see a lot of Vibes with Mainline Motors badging. I'm wondering if a trip to Watrous is in order to get some half decent service? I just can't believe that the techs know so little about this car in my part of the world.

McElveen is one of the biggest dealers around, and yet they have terrible service. Their workers are rude, and have ignored most of my claims on my warranty (just minor stuff, but mostly the paint.). Ready to go the extra distance to another dealer for these minor fixes. Good to know some people are having good luck with this.
