Thule cartop carriers and the antenna?

Mom is looking at buying a 04 Vibe, but also wants a cartop carrier for it. They're looking at the Thule boxes that basically are as wide as half the vehicle, I think. We want to know if anyone has any experience with these (or any other cartop carriers) and whether or not they interfere with the radio antenna...any assistance is much appreciated. Kari

Although its not a box, I have the playpen carrier mounted on mine. It fits great and does not interfere with the hatch or the antenna. I know this probably doesn't help but I thought I would speak up anyways. Don't buy any Thule stuff from REI unless you like paying way too much! My $.02

I didn't mean interference like static...we mean will the antenna be in the way. LOL

So REI lets you buy something and use it for 3 years and then when your life changes (like they all do) you can take back your purchase (3 years later) and get a full refund, wow!!! I think I am going to start renting stuff for free from REI!! Sorry about the sarcasm (sp?).
