Post by fuel4soul »

Are there really any 2002 Vibes? I saw one at Car Domain and an option for one on the registry here,..Just wondering though.

NO, there's no 2002 Vibe. The very first Vibe was a 2003, but built in 2002.

From what I found when researching the Vibe before I bought it, the Vibe was officially released for sale to the public some time in January 2002, but only as a 2003 model. I guess they wanted to avoid calling it a 2002 1/2 model. But that means that some 2003 Vibes are about 1 1/2 years older than others, which can be confusing when shopping for used ones. Mine is a 2003 that I bought in late September 2002. Usually a model of car is released for sale in August/September of the year prior to its model year. Production usually goes on for that model year until about May/June of that year at the most. Then the plant shuts down for several weeks to retool and get ready to start producing cars for the next model year.

(wandering far from the posted topic): So, QWIK, does that "3.4" logo on your pic mean you've swapped a Lumina "Dual Twin Cam" mill into your Fiero?

I'm curious too. I've seen a Buick 3.3 and many Pontiac 3.8's dropped into Fiero's, but not a 3.4 as of yet.
