Hood covers anyone?

Hey out there, I just ordered a hood cover for my Abyss GT and was wondering if anyone else has one out there. Being this is my first "brand new" car I am really (removed) about the car and I have already picked up 2 rock chips on the hood. I looked into the rock/bug deflectors and was unimpressed with them. I do worry about getting dirt under the cover and scratching the paint. Anyone have any comments or experience with these? Jon

Hi,I have a Lava Base Vibe and have had the hood cover for about a month. At first I didn't like the look but I think that was because it's the first time I've had something like that for any of my cars.I really like it now especially since when I went to put it on I noticed a nice little chip on the hood already ... grrrrrr ! And since I do a lot of highway driving and there always seems to be construction everywhere I go, I think it has really helped. The instructions that come with it are easy to decipher, its all pics mostly. So far I have not noticed any problems with the hood cover. I've had my Vibe two months and already have 5,000 miles on it !Jim D.

I have thought about getting a hood cover, but i wanted to see what they looked like, especially on an Abyss Vibe. If you could post some pics, i would appreciate it.
