My auto show experience

Post by Merzbow »

Well, my experience was the best ttime of my life. My mom pulled me out of school 3rd hour to go to lunch and then the autoshow with two of her customers and their sons. One of the customers is the president of Metropolitan Title. He has over 50 supercars he bought personally in his garage from Ferrari's to a Pantara to Bentleys...A few weeks ago he Pre-ordered the brand new Porsche Carrera GT which doesn't get released for another year. He ordered a brand new Bentley Contenental GT. He also ordered a brand new Lamborgini Murielego, and he ordered the brand new Ferrari Scaglietti!!!!!!!!!!! So since he ordered those cars, the dealers were kissing his feet. They let us go past the glass gaurds and actually sit in the Lamborgini Gallardos and Murcielego and the Ferrari 360, 550, and Scaglietti!!!!!! On top of that the show wsn't open to the public yet so it wasn't jam-packed. I had such a good time...I got it on my video camera, unfortunately it isn't digital so I cannot post pictures

This guy's kid is 15 yrs old...I told him I drove a Vibe and asked him what car he wanted as a first car...I was expecting him to say like a Ferrari or BMW...He said he wants a Subaru WRX, but his dad doesn't want him driving fast car, so his second choice was the Vibe believe it or not! It made me even prouder to have a Vibe.

Metropolitan Title is in a great business. In Ohio (and many states) the state sets the rates so there's virtually no price competition. Defective title claims are rare and getting rarer but they recently got a 10% rate increase. They insure the same property over and over when it is sold and often when it is refinanced. Their biggest expense is probably the political contributions that assure their sweetheart deal stays in place. No wonder their President can have 50 luxury cars and be ordering more.

he just sold the company last week so hes got even more money lol. The funny thing is, having as much money as him, he is really layed back and extremely nice. He has a wide variety of interests to like site seeing and cruising down the cali coast in his Modena must be nice having money.
