GrafxWekx Decals Installed!

Post by oolunchbox »

Got my badges and CHMSL overlay last nite and jsut got them installed about 20 minutes ago. 3 Bordered Vibe Decals, a Bordered Arrowhead Decal and the CHMSL overlay took me about an hour to install give or take. the CHMSL got borked and is a little crooked but other than that everything looks GREAT! I got the pewter with black borders to match my shadow vibe and from afar it looks shaved but up close you can see the badges.thanks ryan for an awesome product, service and easy to follow instructions!

i got the inside mount CHMSL cuz i figured the outside would prolly look a little hoakey and the inside would look a lil more "stock." i'm happy with everything thought i did learn that its a good idea to have plenty of light when you're installing it cuz it's kinda hard to see in there.

"great job! it looks nice and clean.. "yeah everything looks excellent, i was suprised as to how easy and nice they went on even in the cold weather (though i was in a heated shop). everything was a snap thanks to ryan's instructions. if anyone is interested in any of his products, i can whole heartedly vouch for them, quality, good looking, and easy to install, plus they make a drastic difference in the appearance of your vehicle, vibe or otherwise i'm sure. I'm already trying to talk a kid i work with out of just shaving the badges on his civic and going my route.

I just ordered mine! I can't wait! I even opted to get the dual-color VVTL-i decals! This is the only reason I wish my car wasn't red, it kinda makes it difficult to change out the Pontiac emblems when they're already the right color!

As of now no, they measure 4"W X 9/16"H. I'm sure if you or someone asks Ryan really nice he'd be able to whip something up that would fit, i was actually thinkin of askin myself but you sorta beat me to it... i figured i could paint my engine cover to match my exterior and go with my same color scheme inside(so to speak) and out.Ryan, is is possible to get vvt-i decals to fit the engine cover?

Would there be any trouble with sending it across the boarder? I'd be happy to send mine, it doesn't really do anything except sit there on the engine anyway so I wouldn't miss it for a while. Also, would the heat of being inside the engine compartment affect the decals? Wouldn't they melt or curl or discolor? Or do you have a different material to make them from that wouldn't be affected by the heat?

If you're willing to send yours, e-mail me and we'll work something out.The heat is not an issue either as it doesn't get hot enough to melt the vinyl.- RyanGrafxWerks

It was much thinner. BTW, I had to order a new engine cover from GMPartsDirect.com because about 6 months after I painted the original cover red it was starting to chip and peel (poor prep on my part probably). So I bought a new one from GMPartsDirect.com (much cheaper than from the dealer) and this one I'll leave black but install a red "VVT-i 16-VALVE" decal along with red Pontiac arrowhead, "PONTIAC" and "RAM AIR" decals. BTW, that's my new cover you see in Ryans pictures. I sent it, not SGT.
