A co-worker of mine mentioned that over the weekend, the local Subaru club had a meet. They had a convoy of 8 vehicles and came upon a slow moving vehicle on the road that they were traveling. The lead vehicle in the convoy moved to pass the slower vehicle and everyone else followed. That was when out of nowhere a cop car showed up and pulled them all over. Everyone got tickets for racing even though they were not going at excessive speeds at all. My co-worker was lucky he wasn't able to attend this meet. Street racing is a pretty serious charge. It sucks that just because you're traveling in a group with similar cars that you would automatically get labelled.
that would be an interesting charge to try and hold up. I hope that all of these poeple are planning to fight the tickets. I would imagine that they would be successful unless they all passed the slow car at some crazy speed. But good food for thought for the next meet.
Well **** happens, but luckily, the Matrix/Vibe has not been labelled as a racing vehicle, but rather as a family stationwagon (I still hate that categorization of my Big_Red).
