This is wierd. Back in August I found a large hole (maybe 3x4") in my front driver side wheelwell splash guard. It is located roughly behind where the CAI filter sits, but still a few inches away I think. I'll take a pic and post it sometime. Well, right after I found it, I patched it up with some duct tape and black electrical tape to blend in with the black plastic. I just happened to check it out a few days ago and the duct tape has become just the fiber webbing that makes it up. I'm wondering if anyone has had any problem with a hole appearing in that section. I don't see how it could be my CAI, but it occured shortly after I installed it and got back from a road trip. I was thinking it was just a rock that some how flew around the fender well and smashed through the front side. Still, not sure how it would do that, especially when I did not see any scrapes or marks anywhere in the fender well. I'm going to repatch the hole so water doesn't get sprayed in from the tires. This time I'm going to find a piece of durable plastic to tape in place in addition to the duct tape.I'm just curious, since I have no idea how this hole appeared, but can it be caused by the CAI in any way? The pipe is sucking in cool air, so I don't see how it could have melted a hole in the plastic.Later,

Nope, the tire is a few inches away from the plastic guard. Something must have flung around on my road trip and puntured through then and I guess that the duct tape I put on had just worn away from spray. Thanks,
