i broke down and purchased some cooper weathermaster st2's in 205/55r16's for my awd vib.....what a difference in stopping and turning...where i used to slide around turns, now i have more control. when i go to brake, my abs isnt kicking in so much now...they came studded and are louder than stock contis (which are in the shed now) but i'll take the trade off any day...4 of 'em studded, balanced , mounted with free rotation and flat repair/replacement for $361.00...may sound expensive for you guys down in lower 48 states and neighboring canada , but here in fbks that was ccchhhheeaap!! everything else was $550 to $670 in $$$ and that was outside my budget...i'm going to see how they wear for the winter and will report any issues if they occur to ya all!!
Thats Canadian money so its about $488 US. I guess they're okay. It only snowed yesterday for the first time since I got them and I didn't drive yesterday. My bf did and said he had lots of traction... so thats good.

wow! even canadian, that's spendy! I got 4 studded 205/65/15 hancook winter radials on 15" steelies $450. my guy called today and he's going to upgrade the rims for free to some toyota alloys he got in. all i have to pay for is the change over, $50! i love my clients. (i swapped out his old credit card terminal a few weeks ago for free... )
well, they cost me $40, but i think they look much better than what they were!upgraded rims: original steelie rims: another angle of the new (sort of) rims:
i took these earlier today. trdvibe got a nice wash and night in the garage to dry out. not too bad for some 15" rims. they are actually toyota rims. i had to use the special lugs from my 17" OEM wheels with these. it won't work with regular lugs... go figure.
