What to upgrade next?

Post by dsegundo »

Hi. I've got the stock M&T package and also an amp running two subs. I just ordered new component speakers for the front and two new speakers for the rear....The component speaks handle about 90w RMS and the rears about 50w RMS. The question I'm asking is should I next invest in a Sony CDX-M850MP next w/ the M&T amp or is that not enough power for the speaks? Or would it be better to buy another amp and go linelevel (probably not)? Let me know.

Ampampittyampamp.I work at Circuit City as some know. (I started out on my own, and am now working here. NO, I am not saying things because they tell me to. Anything I say is MY OWN OPINION. So demnit, don't think i'm just trying to swindle you!)Ahem, anyway. I will always say, unless you -PERSONALLY- have an issue with your headunit, like..you just don't like it. Or, if something in it stopped working, i'd say you don't need to replace it.For those speakers, you will want a better amp. The headunit will work, but won't do them justice. I have a JL 300/4 amp pushing a pair of Polk Components and a pair of cheapo Pioneers in the back. I am still running the STOCK navigation system.Unless you see features on that Sony that you really want in a headunit...wait for a bit. Get an amp, and do that first.BTW, if you're in Georgia, Atlanta area, lemme know, and i'll show you some stuff.. :D You can also PM me and i'll give you my personal reccomendations. Not just the CC stuff..i'm talkin' anything that'll work, online or off.
