Lurking no more!

Post by Toyotiac »

After lurking here both before and since my Vibe purchase, I've finally decided to join in. There is so much information and comraderie here I couldn't sit on the outside any longer. Thanks to all the DIYers - I've got an inexpensive rear cargo mat, new horns, and disabled twilight sentinel. BTW, has anyone seen sales demographics? In my corner of the world (south central WI) most drivers I see are like me - 40+ . I'm wondering if GM is hitting the target market of 20somethings.

Hi joatmon,Vibe owner since June. Still looking through old post- discovered last week that I was missing the plugs for the shipping tie-down holes. Got that rectified yesterday.

I hope they made sure it was clean and dry in there before they put the plugs in.I know what you mean about old posts. Sometimes I'll find some really interesting stuff I wasn't looking for in search results.

Welcome aboard! I am sure that there are many more like you, I wish more of them would join up. And I love your username, too! Very appropriate for this car.Don't forget that in the summer (primarily), many of us attend meets in the various regions of both the US and Canada. You can meet some of the people that you develop "online friendships" with on here and see the cool stuff that some of us are doing to our cars. Most of us really like to meet other members and check out their cars at these meets and rallies. I know I really enjoyed the one I got to attend this summer. I hope to be attending more this coming year. Good luck with your new Vibe and congratulations on becoming a member!

As the former Wisconsin Regional Moderator, I would like to extend a welcome to GenVibe As to whether or not GM is hitting their target audience, I am the only 20 year old here in Madison that I have ever seen driving a Vibe.Ah well, at least they suckered one youngin' into getting one of these great vehicles

I'm wondering if GM is hitting the target market of 20somethings. I'm 45, have a Salsa GT. Don't see many Vibes around here in S California, lot more Matrix. They tend to be a good bit younger than me. Don't even see GM promoting the Vibe out here, it was out for a year before I even heard about it, and then I learned of it in the Wall Street Journal of all places. Dealers don't advertise them either. I suspect GM has surrendered the 20 somethings in Calif to Honda/Toyota/Mitsubishi etc.
