kill your wife, make it look like an accident, use the insurance money you get from that and fix the vibe 2 birds, 1 stone

I imagine she feels pretty bad about it, be sure to tell her that the car damage is completely insignificant compared to her well being, that it's OK.Was it an accident with another vehicle? Was it her fault? You may not be able to keep insurance out of it.How bad and what kind of damage?

she hit another car but the other car is fine . There were no police involved... I havn't seen the Vibe yet but she says the front drivers side is pretty bad..She got an estimate of about 2K,... I am searching through a bunch of websites trying to figure out what to do..

Glad you're wife is OK. You should really get a police report. Having one after the fact is better than nothing. Does VA have no fault laws?

I just got home... Damage wasn't as bad as I though.. I am SHOCKED at the price the dealer quoted my wife... I honestly don't see why this would cost 2 thousand... I am going to post some pics for some opnions... I am not sure about no fault laws

ragingiish got quoted over $300 for a headlight assembly, if you need one there's a driver's headlight assembly on ebay, starting bid $75, athttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...87206

thanks for the tip...All in all the damage isn't as bad as I thought it would be.. I will not do any repairs although I will eventually have to replace the headlights... Gosh when I got the news about my Vibe my first instinct was to post here for help. I appreciate the attempt of humor to help clam me down. It really helped... I will take a look at the headlights and reread ragingfish's deer thread. Having a new car comes with lots of heartaches... One small dent can cause such emotional turmoil. For therapy I took the Vibe out for a car wash and bought one of those Dolphine things to hang from the Rear View Mirror. As for my wife she was afraid of my reaction but she feels better since I took the news pretty welle. also I am GLAD that I will not to involve my insurance company in this mess.. Blah... I am getting way too chattey..Thanks Guys... I will post pics when the sun comes out
