Yep, buy a new Vibe for the wife and it only took her two weeks to christen it. Been on her about parking next to close cars in parking lots. The other night I met her at a restaurant after work. As I pulled into the parling lot I saw she parked close to the entrance in between two close cars and I was like...."Why did she do that when two rows over there were no cars?" Sure enough....today I did the three step detail and low and behold a nice honkin' door ding in an otherwise prestine 2 week old Vibe. Guess tomorrow I start looking for a paintless dent removal guy. I think it'll be cheaper to fire the wife!!
Silver,OK your right. I slept on it and I decided I'm not going to dismiss her. I still will look into the possibility of trading her(the wife) in on a newer model Thanks for letting me vent folks...I feel better and I'll forget all about this if I can get this repair done soon.

For some reason ALOT of females (not all of them...don't take this coment to be sexist) just don't seem to care about the car taking damage and they dont understand why we take extra steps in protecting them like parking in the back of the lot, or not driving behind trucks, and trying to avoid dirt roads. Take my mother for instance. Theres two dings in my door from her car, and little scrapes on the front left fender from her pants rubbing against it. Also a tiny dent right under the window...The paint isn't chipped, so it looks like she dropped something soft and heavy on it like a book
yeah my wife will drive and park totally crooked. shell say well its still in between the yellow lines...so she thinks its ok. i make her move it and correct it. we all know being too crooked can cause other drivers a hard time in parking and/or make it easier to accuire dings in the doors. then again, some dudes cant park either....

Thats what I thought was going on when I first started reading this thread. My head is in the gutter again. As far as parking close, my wife does the same thing. Could park just 2 spaces over and walk an extra 10 ft....but nooooo. My doors already have a few dings from people pissed off that she parks too close. Plenty of room is left to her side so she can get in/out, but the passenger side is a different story.
Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others have labored hard for.
(removed), no, the little rivets on the jeans near the pockets or on the back thats what im asuming atleast....and get this...she tried to blame it on me!!! I don't come near the passenger side ever...
Door ding is gone!!!! Dent Master of Tampa took care of the Vibe and the once ding is totally gone! To make matters even better he did a package deal for our Vibe and my Moms Town Car. Three dings total for $20/ea. My advice to anyone that needs this type repair is to set up an apointment when you can get friends and family that need their dings repaired and you'll see a huge discount!
As a female I just have to say that I don't park between two cars except when I absolutely have to and I can't stand being crooked, or two close to the yellow line. I park fairly far from the entrance to stores as well. I'm sure there are other females like me out there, so don't lump us all together. I've seen some pretty (removed) poor parking from a lot of males.

Hey hey...it took my fiancee four months before we spilled coke in it!Though it wasn't her fault...blame McDonalds for making coke cups that only fit ONE of the cupholders... We had put the second cup in the back cupholders and it decided it didn't want to stay there!

(removed), why dont you try and sue them like that idiotic old lady that sued them for not stating the d*mn coffee was hot on the cup? just kidding I am fortunate to not have any spills yet with all the traffic in my car. I'm really thrilled that you can fit a large McDanlds pop in atleast one of the cup holders. That was very good design on the engineers part
quote:Hmm... I had McDonalds today and the cup fit in either cup holder.I am fat, my friend... Thereby usually getting the "large" meals.. The medium cups, indeed, fit nicely in any cupholder.Either way, it's better than my probe, which had one cupholder.
