I did it on my matrix, it's pretty simple. go to the local home improvement store and get ac insulation, usually grey and foamy. unless you have some zip strips you'll need those also. so all together you will spend about $3. you need one long peice and short piece for after the bend to the firewall. in the long piece cut a slice for the cap to fit through. it's pretty easy. sorry for the crappy pic it was at night, and the last shot of that battery.
Boy take a little time off and Kev Starts answering questions for you. Maybe I should run you by McNamera Pontiac real quick... and I'll go talk to MR. VP at Toyota of Orlando. Basically I got the information off of matrixowners, and after seeing KRO's in person at the Melbourne meet I decided to let loose on the AC and Ground Wires. The AC runs colder faster, a must here in FLA... but I haven't really noticed a difference with the ground wires. I do however notice a difference with that CAI!!!! Hiyah little horsie's let's get a move on. Well good luck, hope we answered your question.
yeah for the times I use my A/C it cools very quick and it stays cold. If I am cruising with it on most times I don't have it all the way cold. I work in the Operating Room where most of the time the temp is around 60. So I am used to the clod temps, I'm not saying it'll make you car get to the 60's but you get the idea. nice, cool, and quick.

That which may be known of God is evident within man, for God has shown it to them, so that they are without excuse.(Romans 1:19-20) What do you want most in life?

The one line insulation is plenty - insulating the return line can reduce the heat disipated by the A/C system, but only very slightly because it's still in the engine compartment. I suppose you could argue that it's to prevent it from picking up additional heat from the engine... My short answer - don't waste your time insulating the normally hot return line.
