Hey there are a lot of new TRD parts out for the Vibe/Matrix. Exhaust, Springs, Sway bars, air filters & more. I also spoke to several parts dealers and there will be a TRD supercharger coming out, but no release date yet. Here is a website with pics of the TRD parts:http://www.partznet.com/toyota/matrix/
I was thinking about the TRD exhaust for my Vibe Gt. Will it fit or is there some slight differance in dimensions on the Matrix vs Vibe in the exhaust pipe route. What would happen if you could use the TRD exhaust on the Vibe anong with a INJEN CAI. Would this result in the jump to 200 hp?
I don't think there is a difference in Vibe vs Martix but there is in base/XR vs GT/XRS. However, did you see the prices for the TRD muffler? $535.72 for the base and $579.00 for the GT! YIKES! I'd rather just install a Flowmaster or Dynomax muffler.

Hmmmmm....What would that cost, how much hp gain, and what is involved for installation. With a CAI and Exhaust would any warning lights come on, too much flow through?

Injen claims 8-hp for the intake and TRD says 12 for the muffler. While 8+12=20, that math doesn't always work when it comes to adding up aftermarket parts. But those 2 things are always good to do together.
Well it might not add up to 20 hp but it would run stronger. I think I would like to see both under the Christmass tree, long wait 'till may before the install. The winters are long here in the Great White North, and I would be on the sled most of my free time.It would be hard to look at them on the bench all winter........
here is another muffler to look at if your going to do it yourselfhttp://www.xtremeflow.com/i do like the TRD springs, the cheapest i have seen is 249, plus i like there design and technology on the springs

Hey how was you performance after the install of the cold air intake from injen? Did you really have to cut it to make it fit? Also what is the filter maintenance? Thanks.
Performance increase is not as much as I would have liked:Before Injen: 17.1 @ 87 ET and 9.2 0-60After Injen: 17.0 @ 86 ET and 9.1 0-60I will note that the 17.0 ET was with a 9.2 0-60 and the time I got a 9.1 0-60 I was forced to lift before I got a full 1/4-mile run due to traffic. That 9.1 0-60 was a good launch and probably would have gotten me my first 16.9 ET. So performance increase is about a tenth in the 1/4 mile. Mileage appears to have increased as well. I got 1-mph better with the intake. I expect that to be better because half the tank was used before the intake and the other half of the tank was used making full throttle runs.Unfortunately, I did have to cut mine. Injen only lists their intakes for the Matrix and the Matrix XR intake din't fit my base Vibe. The headlights are different and the driving lights are in a different location. My Vibe's driver-side headlight interferred with the intake and the intake places the filter in the same location as the driving light in the bumper. On the Matrix, the driving lights are inside the lower grille and there is a opening in the bumper where the driving lights on the Vibe are. Injen, places the filter behind this opening in the Matrix but on the Vibe, the driving lights are in the way. Before I purchased my intake, I asked if it would fit. People on another board said the Matrix XRS intake did fit the Vibe GT but not exactly. I assume they had to move the filter location slightly to get it to fit. Unfortunately, I didn't have the needed room to reposition mine. Solution: cut it.My advice, wait until a Vibe specific intake comes out. What I will probably do in the future is replace it someday with either the blower, a turbo, or the GT-R hood and cold air box.
I purchased the TRD muffler on my Vibe GT. It has a hell of a nice sound and I even noticed a performance increase. You couldn't go wrong with it. It bolted right over on my Vibe, no problems what so ever!
