Just wondering people's opinion on this group. I'm one of those 30-somethings with musical taste stuck in the 80's. The only "recent" mainstream group I like is Collective Soul. After hearing Matchbox 20 on the radio, I purchased two of their earlier discs (not the most recent). I have to admit, they are pretty good. I've read reviews where "Mad Season" is not as good as "Yourself of Someone Like You". I have to disagree, as I like "Mad Season" better. When BMG music club carries their newest CD, I'm thinking about getting it. Any opinions? (Did I really need to ask?)
I have all three of their discs, and find the most recent their best!Bright Lights, the current release on the radio, is one of my favorites.Another group I like is Goo Goo Dolls. Kinda similar to MB20, but they have their own style. Great stuff!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Thanks for the recomendation. I've liking the Goo Goo Dolls stuff, but never bought anything. And one for the "unbelievable coincidence" file: a Goo Goo Dolls song just came on the radio as I was typing this....
I love matchbox 20. I'd have to say that Mad Season is my favorite and the latest one is my least favorite. Maybe I just have not given it enough of a chance, but it just didn't grab me like their previous releases. Some other suggestions: Maroon 5 (previously Kara's Flowers), Three Doors Down, Jack Johnson, Train, Jason Mraz. You might like some of those as well. quote:people used to tell me i looked like him all the time when i had shaggier hairWhen you posted your pic before, that was my first thought...that you reminded me of Rob Thomas a little.
