I assume the bulk of a short ram installation is comparable to that of a full CAI. In the case that it is, it's very easy. Essentially, all you have to do is dissasemble and remove the stock airbox and tubes, release the VSV from the airbox, and then install the short ram. Here's a walkthrough of a CAI install though:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1281

I think it had something to do with the matrix CAI not properly fitting in the Vibe...but I could be wrong...

I put mine on alone in 1.5 hours. I am no motorhead by any means. It is not that hard, just take your time and you will be fine.

Did you buy the AEM short ram? I installed that one with no problems. I think it took me like 30 minutes. The instructions that came with mine were really good.

Isn't the only thing that is really different is the little vaccum hose connector that you have to cap off on the GT? I guess that would mean an extra vaccum line but I believe that is totally removed all together....hence the plugging up of the line.Jim
