I am planing to install a couple monitors to watch DVD's and to play games on my XBOX (it's for the kids, really!). I was wondering how well monitors hold up in the frigid winters of Wisconsin where it can get to -20 degrees F? One monitor will be with the CD player and the other will drop down from the ceiling.

I'd check on the legalities of having a screen within your range of sight as the driver...I know the state of TN just passed a law making it illegal to have a DVD screen anywhere where the driver can see it. It has to be behind them.
Go on MatrixOwners.com and talk to maddigital. He has 3 screens -- one on the back of each front seat headrest, and another in the front sunvisor. I'm sure he can answer any questions you have about that.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Just check the specs on the screen. Storage temps would probably be - degrees something to +120 F.. However, operating temps would be closer to 32 F. I doubt you'd have any problems with the LCDs breaking from the temps, but the response when cold would be really bad..

My portable DVD player works just fine in any weather. The only thing that has ever been a problem is the darn outlet that plugs into the side. Too much use I presume. I have accidentally left the dvd player in the car when it was -10 overnight. I usually take it inside after the trip but forgot. I was suprised that the moisture in the air did not crystalize but it must have evaporated first.
Just here to lend a hand to people who have questions about their Vibe.
