So, I got to test drive one of VERY few XB's on the east coast, yesterday! And on top of it all, it had the TRD package! Springs, shifter knob, exhaust, and 19" wheels! This is a surprisingly cool little car! It kinda felt like driving a go-kart around! Not much power on tap, which is expected, seeing how it shares power plants with the Echo. But there is hope for the people who want more pep! Turbo will be released sometime in the near future. The cars won't actually be shipped until February, but the dealership where I test drove from, pulled some serious strings to get 2 TRD XB's, and 1 XA.My overall impression of the car is that I really like it! The dash in front of the driver is completely bare! There is a huge tach with mph's, rpm's, etc. right inthe middle. It looks WAY better IMO than the Mini Cooper or the ION! The model I drove also featured premium stereo system, complete with subwoofer in the back! You should have seen the looks on people's faces that we drove by! It's really like nothing I've ever seen! If you get a chance, check one out! The base doesn't look near as nice as the TRD package equipped model does, though!Come February, I want one!
Hey where is Ashburn in relation to Virginia Beach or Richmond?I am strongly interested in purchasing one as a second car so I would love to test it out..

In Northern VA. Kinda out by Dulles International AirportThey have 3 Scions at Leesburg Toyota, on RT. 7. They want 25,500 I believe. A little pricey, but still a dang cool car! They've got the camo color and the Black Cherry. They're not willing to sell the xA, yet. They just got them, so they'll be gone FAST!I'll be waiting until Feb to order exactly what I want!
Maybe I'll go take a look at them for fun sometime since that dealer is right down the road.
Justin 2003 Vibe GT - Mille Miglia Evo5 18x8 Wheels (now stock)- Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust (now stock)- Tein S-Tech Springs (now stock)- Injen CAI - Red Painted Calipers - Hella Supertone Horns - Polk Speakers - Bazooka RS8A-HP Sub - Kenwood Headunit - Still love my Vibe, but I've just turned it back into a basic daily driver.
Ya, I was gonna give you a call and tell ya' about them! No speed, but it's a totally different experience from the Vibe! Very unique car! My wife is now in love with them! You know what that means! A 2nd car in the future!
I called the dealership and I will stop by in a week or so to do a test drive. I am hoping I like it because I am looking to replace my second car (Mitsu Galant 1993 - 160,000) with something inexpensive. The price I see is roughly 13k (for the XA)..

As for one being a good commuter car... it will depend on your commute. If I had a 1 hour or longer highway commute like many of my co-workers do, I'd much prefer a big sedan like a Crown Vic or the largest cars the imports make. Why? North of the snow line the highways are always needing repair. A big car can smooth out those cracks and potholes whereas the littlest cars will send the defects right up through your body.My Vibe feels fine on the highway, at least until I compare the ride to that of my '02 Nissan Altima. I think I'm in heaven in my Altima until I ride my Mother-in-law's crown vic.OK, so maybe a "Good" commuter car just has to be great for mileage. That boxy Scion isn't going to do better than a Vibe at highway (wind) speeds. Get Honda or Toyota Hybrid They (at least the new Toyota) is designed to be as efficient as possible at going through the air. Better yet, get an old Ford Probe. They still own the record for aerodynamic efficiency (lowest co-efficient of Drag).KSNeptune.
