Auto headlamp disable

Post by bh357 »

Does anyone know how to disable the twilight sentinel feature? The headlamps come on automatically sometimes when it's still light out (due to the shadow from the a pillar falling across the sensor). Thanks,Brad

I've just noticed the same thing happening to me. Bright sunny day and the sensor says it's dark. The manual says it can't be turned off, but maybe it can be adjusted?

Yeah it happens across the board. I do wish there was a sensitivity adjustment somewhere, but so far everything I have read points to no.I drive to work all the way in the morning with the sun shining on the sensor, yet the lights stay on. I guess the sun must not be bright enough???

Well the engineers put the sensor in a retarded place...its right next to the A-piller on the right. So if the sun isnt overhead..the piller casts a shadow right on the sensor. Sensor thinks its dark.
