Where's the beef ^H^H^H steel?

Post by ZZvroom »

2003 GT
So I want to install a cell phone holder. I want it to the right of the radio ~ in front of that vent.
So what to fasten it it? I pulled the radio/CD changer bezel but everything is plastic.
Pondering a piece of steel up the side of the front console to where the holder would be but that would flex a lot.

You can do quite a bit with different variants & thicknesses of sheet metal. I have a small metal assortment from 16 gauge down to the thinner 26 gauge. Mostly galvanized (for HVAC jobs) but a few nickel plated for painted pieces. Let us know what you end up doing. Post pics of all progress :)

The ProClip mount has been discussed here a number of times over the years.

I used a CD slot phone mount in my VIbes. Lose radio visibility, but easy, good phone viewing location
