So I tried to have my friend dye my hair.My intentions were to have a subtle red hue with blonde highlights. What I got, was: Oh well, at least I'm ready for halloween, eh?

It remember me so many things.....Last year, I wanted to get red hair, so I bleatched my hair and put some red tinting in them... And it gave me some o'burn hairs. I hated so much this color that I bleached again my hairs, and now had orange hairs. I was much better. And this summer, I had blue hair, and a real red tint is waiting in my bathroom.

ah, i've done many highlights in my hair. last was blonde/redish streaks and darker auburn/red streaks. I have dark brown hair, so it came out pretty well. of course, i spent $75 on it, so it'd better come out good! if you want red highlights, i'd recommend matrix's redlights. very very cool! usually what i do to mine.

Ah, so they have a rule against weird colors eh.And it's a subtle purple...not real brash or anything. My high school had a rule against "unnatural hair colors" but they let a lot of girls have the purple highlights. It just shows up when you catch the light. It's real neat looking, I think.Jet black would look funny on you, though, I think...
right! i have to be careful what i do to my hair/appearance for work too. signed a contract that i must appear "professional" at all times. any strange hair colors must be approved prior to me getting it done. as long as it's not too drastic, they don't say much. same thing with piercings and tattoos. they must be able to be hidden
quote:you could always dye it blue or something Neptune Blue no doubt.Hair colouring is one thing that is best left to the experts. Many bizaar things happen when hair dye is applied. The colour on the box doesn't mean a damn thing.
quote:and i hate my hair, too.oh, but red hair is great, that is my favorite on the womens!i have never dyed my hair, i probably never will, mine gets some natural blonde highlights in it anyway. as for the jet black, be careful, it could come out bluish anyway

I had a purple hue to my hair in highschool and pinkish in my freshman year of college. My hair is really really dark brown naturally, and I've never gotten the nerve to bleach it, so the Manic Panic hair dyes I had just gave me a cool glow in the sun. Speaking of unnatural dyes, I got a mystic tan today. It's the tan that sprays on you in a carwash-type manner and is done in 30 seconds. It sounds like a great idea, but it's a bit uneven and a bit orangey. I'll see what happens after I shower, but I think I'm going to have to even some spots out with regular self-tanner.
