Yellow Accents in Interior

Post by Reynoma »

There are quite a few topics out there on dash kits, etc, but I'm starting a new one anyway.I'm trying to get a yellow/black thing going on my Abyss GT (two-tone) and I've got the exterior pretty well planned with overlays / pinstriping. My problem is the interior. I've seen seat covers and shift boots, but the dash kit is a problem. The only yellow I've seen is either "BRIGHT" yellow or carbon fiber. I had exoticwooddash.com send me a sample of the yellow carbon fiber and it looks horrible. Kind of like wicker - just awful. I've sent an email to acculaser to see if they have a yellow kit, but have not gotten an answer. I'm really looking for a darker yellow that mimics the look of the silver that is currently there. Any suggestions?

if you're going to that much trouble, then paint them. i'm sure there are hundreds of yellow paints out there in the automotive world that will be close or exact to what you want. if you want it to look good, then do it right. will cost you about $200 most likely unless you have an auto body painter friend.

trdvibe - seeing your pictures is what gave me the idea for my interior. Painting myself is just not an option I'm too impatient / unskilled to do it right. I guess having a body shop do it would be an option.

If you wanted to go the super cheap route you could go On ebay and see if they have the auctions for the Vent overlays- I am not sure if they come in Yellow- but I got the red and put them on- I think it looks good especially since it only cost me 10 bucks!

That is actually a great idea. I found a vendor on ebay that sells yellow ones for a Matrix (sure they would fit the Vibe, I just don't know if they say "Toyota" or "Matrix" on them. Thanks for the idea.
