Anyone install a Short Shift kit?

Post by Rivlen »

Hi all, I'm looking into the posibility of a short shift kit and was wondering if anyone has done this to their Vibe? If so, is there an install doc I can have a look at, or resources you can point me too. Thanks

Thanks Nova, those were perfect. As an aside, I notice that there is a lot of information on numerous popular subjects, which seems to end up in more than one thred. Repetitive posting and linking (as even this thred is). Would it be possible to start building a FAQ that compiles all this info? Is there one in progress? I'd even be willing to help create one.Just curious.

Actually, that would probably be a good idea. Many member here (including myself) dislike multiple threads on the same subject for just the reason you mention. It spreads the information out instead of centralizing it. A FAQ page that would list all the threads in one place by subject would be good. However, that would be a decision for the Administrators. The only down side is maintaining the FAQ page when new threads are started.

Topics such as: General Model info. Headlights->What are the OEM, what aftermarket options are there, 'how tos'. Tires, CAI, DRL, Ect.Ect.Here's an example I use frequently for questions concerning my 'summer' car: http://www.clarks-garage.com/ or even this: http://www.connact.com/~kgross/FAQ/944faq.html.This doesn't have to cover every little issue, but Not only would each section cover the highlevel facts and questions, but yes, linking to the existing discussions and guides should both centralize the information and provide detailed answers. The nice prospect about this also, is that most of the information will apply and help the Matrix owners as well. Now the other reality of this is the size and scope of such a project, but if the Admins are open to the idea, I think we would get a lot of support. This would grow overtime as new sections are added and updated, but a point will be reached where 'if you can't find it in the FAQ, BRAVO for a new discovery'. (sry, just getting a little excited at the prospect of this kind of project)
