Does the factory alarm module simply plug into a pin connector? I have the power package, but not the security option. I was thinking this might be an easy way to install at least a minimal system, without having to get the soldering iron out.I know my Ford f150 came "prewired" from the factory for the alarm if you ordered the keyless entry, so order the module, and whala, instant system.

It's possible. I don't have the power package but I have the wires for the remote entry receiver that is in the storage area by the rear passenger side tail light (no module though) Don't have the window/lock wires in the door either, but they probably plug into a main harness somewhere. You might want to ask a Pontiac or Toyota service department, they MIGHT know.off topicI like your avatar. rainvibe from northwest, I heard that DC has had more days with measurable rain this year than Seattle.
I have an air intake box on order, so I'll chat with them when they are ready to install it.Seeing yours, I see why mine is of interest! Yes, we had a very nice summer up until this week!
