It's almost done! Well, actually it'll never truly be done! It sounds unbelievable! 4 bolt main 350, balanced, blue printed, and bullet-proofed! Weiand 6-71 supercharger will be next! And yes, that's my dad's Stealth R/T behind it in the last photo! Who would think he's 61! And a 2nd degree Black Belt as of last year!
Thanks, guys! Ya, he keeps everything quite clean, as you can tell! The front of the car is gonna have a little more of a rake(lower than the back), but other than that, it's done for now! All has been completed since pics were taken (wiring, lights, fuel cell, etc.)I get to drive it to the James Dean Festival and the end of Sept. Time cannot go fast enough!
that's one beautiful car! my dad wants a 56 or 57 chevy 4-door belair hard top. one day i hope to buy one for him. he may be 99, but, hey, it's the thought that counts, right?
Now that'll be a challenge! Start digging around, now! My dad use to race a '55 back in the day. Gasser class. Ran 10's! I was like, are you kidding me! And you sold it! That car was all balls! He's got pics of it. The real deal "gasser" look. No bumper, straight front axle, high in front, black alloy's...
Its be more impresive w/o the wood block holding it in place reminds me of those http://www.hemmings.com ads w/ "in mint cond!" and you see the brick by a wheel hummmmm.
Kinda like making a AWD Vibe look fast...J/K! Brake lines and tranny weren't hooked up yet, when I took the photos. I'm designing a wall mural for my and being 10 hrs. away, I had to get photos when I was there a couple of weeks ago, hence the block behind the tire....kinda like the one attached to the top of your neck...Sorry, just kidding! I couldn't resist! If you look close, you will also notice only the passenger side headlight/brakelight are in place, and no lock on the trunk. The front toe-in is also way off. But it's complete now!I'll post the pics of the wall design when I'm done with it.
I dig the stealth is it an RT? those were sweet cars, too bad they were kinda pricey and didn't sell well (RT was signfigantly more $$ than the ES or base model cuz of the go fast x-tras) They were/are awd aren't they?
Actually there were two R/T models. The twin turbo AWD(sister car to the 3000gt VR4) and the N/A R/T. His, unfortunately is the N/A. But it's a limited edition model. It has the bells and whistles and special pearl white paint. Only about 10 made w/this paint, I believe. Fun to drive, none the less!
Yeah Thats the one I was thinking about (awd w/twin spools) that was sooooooo pricey (but worth it in my book). I always liked the stealth rather than the VR-4 looks-wiseFYI: pearl is way kewl! til you gotta touch it up. My dad had a lexus sc400 in whilte pearl that got backed into in a parking lot. My buddy's shop fixed it and he *****ed about having to paint it (silver first, then the pearl, then clear coat). when your all done hopefully it cures the same color. no wonder he was pissed it must have take three times as long.My other friend just finished a 74 leMans sport (one model below the GTO). Man ya gotta luv V-8's, it just suxs trying to get two tons off the line, but once they do---------------C ya! He was bummed I had to sell the WRX (busted for a buck and a quarter in a 65 mph zone), he swears he could have taken my rex (phat chance hehehe)
