Vibe GT c60 Transmission Wine?

How's it going guys.

I have an 03 vibe gt with the c60 6spd trans.

It has 202k miles on it.

I changed the trans fluid at 188k.

And over the past few 100 miles it's developed a louder than usual wine.

It only occurs when the trans is in gear and I am on the throttle.

It does not occur when I downshift or if I'm just in gear and not on the gas.

Anybody else ever had this issue?

And for that matter is it indicatating something major or minor?

Is it more like a Merlot or Cabernet Wine?

Lol, couldn't resist.

Seriously, that's how my C59 started going bad. Whine when under load, noise would go away when off the gas. It got worse until the trans grenades about eight months later.

Start shopping for a low mile used trans.

but yeah i was fearful of that. these transmissions are hard to locate but ill keep a lookout and ride it until the wheels fall off
